Martin Kimmich holds a degree in administration sciences and is currently VP Global HR Centre of Expertise at FESTO.
Career development:
Martin Kimmich began his career as a participant in the international trainee programme offered by Audi AG. After completing this programme he worked for two years as a project manager in the field of e-business. After two further years as a consultant at the former Siemens SBS Consulting division, he switched to Festo in 2006.
Avocational activities:
Within the framework of a part-time lectureship, Martin Kimmich was a visiting lecturer at the management faculty at the University in Konstanz, Germany. Martin Kimmich began teaching a course entitled “Knowledge Management” in 2013 at the MSc Innovation and Technology Management faculty of the Steinbeis Hochschule.

International experience:
Martin Kimmich has broad-based international experience. He spent one year each in the USA and in Spain. His responsibilities as Head of HR Development at Festo are distinguished by extensive international work.
As a consequent next step Martin has decided to accept the offer for an international assignment in Shanghai/China and was HR responsible for the business region Greater China Festo with more than 2000 employees from June 2029 to December 2021.
His tasks include the formulation and implementation of an HR strategy that integrates the core functions (R&D, Operations and Sales) as well as the associated necessary further development of the HR organization and an associated portfolio of HR instruments that support the growth targets.
